Lake Sherwood Women’s Club
Mission Statement
- To create fellowship, graciousness and friendliness in our community.

- To aid in the protection and conservation of our natural resources.
- To assist, within our resources, the beautification and upkeep of our community property
Membership
Membership is open to”any resident or property owner who is interested in furthering the objectives of the Lake Sherwood Women’s Club. Past or current members will be grandfathered and can remain as members even though they may move out of the community.” Dues are $25.00 per year.
The Good Samaritan Fund is available to residents of Lake Sherwood who are experiencing financial difficulty in paying utility bills or Lake Sherwood assessments. These situations are usually identified by Administration staff. The resident writes a letter to Lake Sherwood, requesting assistance. A small group of Women’s Club members evaluates the request and, if approved, authorizes a payment to Lake Sherwood. Appropriate Administration staff apply the funds to the resident’s account. The fund is available at any time of the year but is offered one time only to any given resident. The process is anonymous. Proceeds from the annual Women’s Club Fish Fry supports the Good Samaritan Fund.
Events
Regularly scheduled business meetings are generally held on the third Thursday of each month at the Lake Sherwood Community Center (with a few exceptions). Meetings start with asocial time at 11:30 AM. Lunch is served at noon. The business meeting and program follow. Please check the “Events Calendar” on the Lake Sherwood website for scheduled meeting dates.
