Campground

Campground Park offers great facilities. The comfort station includes restrooms and showers. The pavilion has a very large Texas grill, electrical outlets and a concrete floor. Plenty of aluminum tables are located throughout the park. Youngsters enjoy the versatile playground located next to the comfort station. There is a very large fire-pit for those chilly fall evenings and a volleyball court for summer fun. Plenty of sites are available for a nominal charge for overnight campers.

Gabion

Gabion Park is located at the south end of the large dam. Several docks are available for boaters to tie up and swimmers can enjoy swimming off of the docks. The water is very deep in this part of the lake. In addition to the docks, plenty of picnic tables and grills are available. A cement walkway is on top of the Gabion wall that separates the grass from the main lake. A porta-potty has been added to further enhance the park’s facilities.

Island

Island Park is located just across the large dam on Lake Sherwood and features a courtesy dock and designated swim area. The park is accessible only by watercraft. Most of island is a natural wildlife area.

Marina

Marina Park is located adjacent to the boat ramp at the marina and includes picnic tables and a barbecue pit. Further down the marina parking area is a pavilion with restrooms and tables. There are several small areas with tables and grills.

Peninsula

Peninsula Park is located within walking distance from clubhouse and includes park benches with a majestic view of Lake Sherwood. Fishing is very popular from this park. Parking is readily available at this park.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood Park is located in a very secluded area to the south side of the dam containing Lake Robin Hood and includes courtesy docks. A pavilion with tables and a restroom nearby are facilities that make this a great park for families and smaller functions. Parking is off the road across from Robin Hood Lake. Boaters can access the park from the main lake and then idling down Robin Hood Cove to the end of the cove.

Rocky Point

Rocky Point Park is located on the most western cove of Lake Sherwood and includes a courtesy dock and a picnic table. Boaters can access the park from the Lake Sherwood by idling down the very last cove. Non-boaters access the park from North Lake Sherwood Drive. Rocky Point Park is ideal for families and those wishing to “get away from it all”!

Spirit

Lake Sherwood Parks system is highlighted by the natural beauty of George H. Schmidt Spirit Park located at the entrance of Lake Sherwood Estates and is conveniently situated adjacent to the mail center and administration office. George H. Schmidt Spirit Park has a lighted baseball field and a multi-purpose court that is used for basketball in the summer months and ice skating in the winter. The park includes a picnic pavilion, a large playground and is surrounded by a quarter mile walking track. Restrooms are located in the building with the mail center and waiting room where students catch the buses for their respective schools.
